![]() ![]() #Tweetadder forum updateSeriously, wtf? it makes library update and maintenance needlessly difficult. (I really hate that Processing can't tolerate dot and dash in the dir and jar names. (Plus the wiki sort of implies you must have examples, reference and src dirs, which is silly. according to my read of the Processing wiki, this is wrong each of the other libs (async, stream, etc) should be in their own folder in Processing/libraries, in this scheme, twitter4j225async, twitter4jstream, etc. * THEN i renamed twitter4j-core-2.2.5.jar to twitter4j225.jar (same as 'libraries' dir name as required) so that the complete path to it isĬ:/Users/USERNAME/Documents/Processing/libraries/twitter4j225/library/twitter4j225.jar * to twitter4j225/library i copied the five jar files: Windows 7, therefore sketchbook lib dir is C:/Users/USERNAME/Documents/Processing/libraries #Tweetadder forum zipI rm'd all of the twitter4j libs i'd installed and started again from the zip file.įor the record, this is what is currently working and installed: there appears to be a lot unsaid about Processing sketchbook library arrangement. PS: I'm an experienced programmer, but new to Processing and Java. So where are the library defs for the Stream classes stored? However, Sketch->Import library->twitter4jstream inserts only one line: Sketch->Import library->twitter4jcore inserts the following into my source file: In the Processing IDE, if I do Sketch -> Import library I see the twitter4j libs OK. I am certain that the lib 'import's are incorrect but i have no idea what *is* correct for the stream lib. ![]() This two-line Processing source file demonstrates the problem: ![]() I coded a search API program using twitter4j-core functions and that works fine. Libraries/twitter4jstreaming/library/twitter4jstreaming.jar Libraries/twitter4jcore/library/twitter4jcore.jar I installed all libs from the 2.2.5 zipfile the same way: (paths relative to Processing's dir on Windows 7) I've successfully coded & run a search API in Processing using twitter4j 2.2.5 core so I have that library installed right. I'm having trouble with the twitter4j-stream-2.2.5 portion of the library. ![]()
